ABOUT US
The University of Texas Sailing Team is a student-run organization that brings together sailors of all experience levels through competition, learning, and community. Whether members arrive with years of racing experience or have never stepped into a boat before, the team creates opportunities to develop skills, build confidence on the water, and be part of a close-knit group. Through practices, travel, and team events, members gain experiences that extend well beyond sailing itself.
As a competitive collegiate team, UT Sailing represents the university at regattas across the region and thrives through the dedication of its team members, while maintaining an environment that emphasizes growth, teamwork, and accessibility.. Members have opportunities to race, train, explore leadership roles, and contribute to the continued development of the program. At its core, the team is built around a shared passion for sailing and creating a place where students can challenge themselves, make lasting friendships, and enjoy time on the water.
