Do I need to know how to sail?
No! We take members from all levels of experience. We teach sailing during meetings and practices. If you have experience, you can get straight into competing. You can join at any time.
How many practices each week and competitions?
We have 3 practices per week. WED-FRI with carpools leaving from Littlefield Patio Cafe on campus to Lake Travis at 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Our regatta schedule is released at the beginning of every semester.
What is the time commitment?
It is person by person basis. We have no requirements for attending events unless you decide to compete! You can learn or compete as much as you want to.
What boats do you sail?
We sail 420s and FJs.
Can grad students join?
We accept both undergrad students and grad students at any skill level and time, however grad students cannot compete.
How do I join?
Follow every step listed above! Each is required to join.
I can’t attend a meeting. What do I do?
Email us or message us on instagram. Reminder: you can join any time during the semester.
